bang!...wow A, that sounds exactly like a gunshot...bang!............bang!..............bang!............bang!...that definitely was gunshots, by the spacing between the shots, only someone pulling a trigger can reproduce that sequence...
(looking down from the balcony across the street)...one guy running...police car with lights and siren...group gathering...sirens...3 more police cars...4 guys running right past us away from the shooting...one guy in suit running after them yelling at them...get my phone for me J...(dialing 911...PUT ON HOLD)...3 more police cars...ambulance...firetruck...

there have been quite a few armed robberies in chinatown...

i guess you have to be killed to make the paper...they had 2 murders that night but nothing about the shooting...64 murders so far in town...

too many things are "common place" these days. saturday afternoon, i saw 4 police cars outside my apartment, but i have no idea why. that doesn't compare to what you've witnessed though, but you're right, murders get more coverage than anything else, unless if you're famous.

you called 911? aren't you supposed to be respond to the crime scene? I went to a chinese restaurant last weekend. Some kids got drunk and started fist fighting.

very scary! i would be scared to hear gunshots like that and would have headed away or indoors. i guess i am not a city girl and prefer my safe little island in the rain.
