WADT... ~beggars~
...in most states it is against the law to beg...there are variances to these laws...however...
...yesterday i was getting some 'benjamins' out of an atm in safeway in hawaii...safeway has been hiring disabled persons abiding by the americans w/ disabilities act...as i turned the corner an employee in an electric wheelchair rolled in on me and benj and said in front of numerous customers...
..."would you like to donate help find a cure for my muscular dystropy?"
...how do thet 'know' to beg from me?...do i have 'sucker' written somewhere?

Even if there's not a state law, Safeway should have some kind of restriction preventing employees from soliciting donations from customers...if this happened more than once to me, I'd probably go to management about it...Rainy

the best place to beg for money is right by the atm machine i guess.
Seems we all do. I find that poor people are more generous than rich people. But if you can stand at a corner holding a sign in your hands asking for money for 8 hours a day, you can get a job standing up doing something for 8 hours a day. No money for you!
Man. Feeling guilty can really strike at any time, can't it? I'm surprised they would let an employee do that. (And a side note: Apparently it's not illegal in Nashville). Oh, and a couple other side notes too: Thanks for your comment (back in June), it made me laugh. Sorry if my post momentarily frightented you.
I kinda waited around in hopes some equally entertaining inspiration would hit me to come back with, but alas...apparently not. And I love the new look here. That is all.
i think if i needed to ask people for money, i'd do it by the machines too. it only makes sense. they can't say they have no money lol.
You and me both. I've tried using comet to scrub it off my head but it keeps seeping back through.
I'll ignore them when they try to get my attention.
Same way I ignore my cell phone when it rings. Though that is off now so I'm stuck with just my home phone that doesn't have caller id. So since I don't know who it is I have to answer it. Darnit.
